Fastin was originally developed by the pharmaceutical company King Pharmaceuticals and was manufactured as a prescription drug for Smith Kline Beecham. However, in 1998, the drug was pulled by the manufacturer and High-Tech Pharmaceuticals obtained its rights. Though it did base the new non-prescription supplement on the old formula, it did change the formulation in order to make it safe and legal to be sold over-the-counter. Today, this new non-prescription version of Fastin remains readily available for purchase through the official product website.

This same official website for Fastin also offers a complete list of the ingredients for the product. They are: Phenylethylamine HCL, R-Beta-Methylphenylethylamine. methylphenylethylamine tartrate , methylsynephrine HCL , N-Methyl-phenylethylamine HCL, Synephrine HCL, Theobromine Anhydrous, Yohimbine HCL and caffeine.

The primary active ingredient in Fastin is Phenylethylamine HCL, which is considered to be a very strong stimulant. That being said, this active ingredient is not the only stimulant within the formula. For this reason, any person who has hypertension or other heart conditions, thyroid disorders, those who are on prescription medications or people who have sensitivities to stimulants should consult with a doctor before taking a single Fastin diet pill. This formula is also not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing. Like other pills that contain stimulants, Fastin may cause sleep problems such as insomnia, as well as anxiety, the jitters, nausea, or headaches. Stimulants are used in many diet drugs and supplements because it can boost the metabolism, give an energy boost to make exercising easier, and can sometimes even elevate the mood to keep motivation for weight loss high. Work with your doctor to decide whether a stimulant-based weight loss formula is right for you.

PROS

Advantages of Fastin are that it does not require a prescription, making it convenient to obtain. Furthermore, many people who use the supplement experience higher energy levels and a metabolism boost. The mood elevators within this product can help make it easier to stay motivated within a weight loss program.

CONS

Disadvantages of Fastin are that it does not include an effective appetite suppressant among its ingredients. Furthermore, many of the ingredients within the formula are known to generate undesirable side effects in some people. It can also be unsafe for individuals with certain health conditions. The product itself is relatively expensive and the first order of a bottle of Fastin will automatically add the customer to an auto-ship program which will continue to create orders for which the customer will be charged, on a regular basis, until the customer opts out of the program.

Lost 3 lbs in 5 days. Not bad! I am not really hungry and it has been easy for me to refuse even chocolate which is my weakness.

Avoid coffee if you are a coffee drinker. This pill kicks in fast! I had both the sweats and the jitters, not too crazy just lightly. You will want to pack extra anti persperant because you will notice the sweating. Also the pasty dry mouth. You will not feel hungry and if you feel headachy eat something as you are probably forgetting to eat.

You are absolutely right about that! I am taking Fastin right now and I was surfing the internet to try to see if the symptoms that I’m feeling are because of the pills or if something is wrong with me. I’m really glad that you left this post. I feel like I’ve already had ten cups of coffee just a few minutes after taking these things. I haven’t touched coffee at all since the very first day I was on these because the shakes were so bad. I haven’t had the trembles since then, though. I have noticed the heavy sweating. And I go from hot to cold to hot again. I only have the dry mouth on some days, but it’s really an uncomfortable and sticky feeling when it happens. You’re right, though. You pretty much feel too lousy to eat!

I didn’t really have any complaints about the fastin diet pills themselves, but what I wasn’t really wild about was the auto ship program. There isn’t really any way around it, that I could tell, and I wanted to have control over the way that I was purchasing them. I also found that it was challenging to get off the program once I was in. It took two phone calls and I had to contact my credit card company, too. I wouldn’t do this again.

Liked the results, hated the auto ship program. Not a bad pill if you can get it without that.
