Pure Forskolin Extract for Weight Loss is a dietary supplement from Schwartz Bioresearch. It is marketed as a “maximum strength” “fast acting formula” and according to the official product page when this review was written it is an extreme fat burner, appetite suppressant and carb blocker. It has been designed to help reduce hunger, shrink body fat, boost fat burning metabolism and keep you full longer.

The formula contains a Forskolin Blend, which consists of Coleus Forskoli Root extract with 20% Standardized Forskolin. Each 2 capsule serving contains 500mg of the blend. For best results, users are instructed to take 1 capsule 30 minutes before lunch and 1 capsule 30 minutes before dinner. Both pills should be taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water.

Pros

Pure Forskolin Extract does not contain artificial ingredients, fillers, chemicals, color additives, binders or preservatives. It is also free of gluten, soy, milk, eggs, wheat, peanuts, shellfish, sweeteners, GMOs and sugar.

Forskolin has been studied for its effects on fat metabolism. It is believed to suppress appetite and boost metabolic rate (increase fat burning).

Cons

There is insufficient evidence that forskolin will aid with weight loss. While it has been tested for the treatment of obesity, there is not enough clinical evidence to prove that it will help a person drop pounds or that it is even safe for consumption for this purpose. Unfortunately, what this means is that there is no guarantee that taking this product will be effective for losing or managing weight.

Additionally, there are certain side effects associated with this herb. For instance, it may lower blood pressure, which could be dangerous for individuals with low blood pressure or those who have heart disease as it may interfere with certain medications used for treatment. It may also increase the risk of bleeding in some individuals and should be avoided by anyone how has a bleeding disorder or who may be scheduled for surgery (2 weeks before) or who have just had surgery.

Moreover, some research has also shown that forskolin may be possibly unsafe during pregnancy as it may slow or stop the growth of the fetus. It is uncertain if it presents a danger to a baby via breastfeeding, but to be safe, it would be best not to use it if nursing.

It is better to err on the side of caution and speak with a healthcare professional prior to taking Pure Forskolin Extract for Weight Loss.
