Phentermine is a prescription diet pill that is very well known and highly regarded within the industry. It is the most prescribed weight loss drug in the United States and the most popular brand name version of phentermine is Adipex weight loss pills, also known as Adipex-P.

Phentermine has several different effects that help the dieter to lose weight more easily and minimize some of the more unpleasant effects of dieting that can occur within the first few weeks of dieting.

Phentermine is not a weight loss program in itself but is prescribed along with a nutritious diet and exercise regimen as well as techniques for altering behaviors that work against weight loss efforts. It is a tool that helps individuals to kick-start their diet while it assists them in building the right lifestyle habits to achieve a healthy body mass index (BMI) and keep off the weight once it has been lost.

Ingredients in The Formula

  • The ingredients in the Phentermine formula are:
  • Phentermine Hydrochloride
  • N-butyl
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Ethyl
  • Propylene glycol

It is believed that Phentermine diet pills work by stimulating the release of brain chemicals that assist in appetite control without leaving the user with the “starved” feeling that is all too frequently experienced with diets that lower caloric intake. It also provides an energy boost to stop users from feeling fatigued as a result of the consumption of fewer calories and to help them feel more motivated to keep up their dieting efforts.

This being said, Phentermine is not a long-term solution. Instead, it is meant to be used only for a few weeks in which the dieter can experience notable results and build the right habits for continuing the weight loss without being on prescription medication.

Phentermine Pros

The most notable advantages of Phentermine are:

  • It is an effective appetite suppressant– Helping people to feel fuller faster so that they maintain that satisfied feeling for a longer period of time to minimize cravings and the need for snacking.
  • It can help users establish healthy lifestyle habits for long-term weight loss – With proper nutritious eating, exercise, and supervision from a doctor, the use of Phentermine can help to build a healthy lifestyle that will not rely on medication in order to achieve and maintain the right bodyweight.

Phentermine Cons

The most notable disadvantages of Phentermine are:

  • Unpleasant side effects– Like all prescription drugs, it can cause the user to experience some unpleasant side effects, such as increased heartrate, dry mouth, tingling or prickling feeling in the hands or feet, sleeplessness, nervousness, constipation, etc.
  • Short-term treatment– It can only be used for short-term weight loss and relies on the dieter to continue the efforts afterward on their own.
  • Risk of addiction to Phentermine– This drug is not meant for cosmetic weight loss but is only prescribed in order to treat clinical obesity.

Phentermine and Adipex Weight Loss Pills are Not for Everyone

If you think that a prescription obesity treatment like Phentermine or Adipex may be beneficial in helping you achieve your weight loss goals, talk to your doctor. Consulting with your doctor is not only important because you will need a prescription to obtain this medication, but also because you may find that you are not the right candidate for this drug.

Certain health conditions or not being in the appropriate weight range could mean that the risks of taking this drug outweigh the potential benefits. As such, it is essential that you inform your doctor about any medical conditions you have (past and present) as well as inform them if you are currently taking medications or supplements.

Even if it turns out that you are not the appropriate candidate for phentermine, you may find other OTC diet pills that can provide you with the support you need to ease your struggles with your dieting and exercise weight management efforts.

Taking over the counter diet pills are also safer for some people because premium products are often less potent, have fewer side effects, and do not come with a risk of addiction, which can be an issue for some people who take Phentermine.

Additionally, you may be able to take nonprescription diet pills for longer than Phentermine diet pills, which are only for short-term use. You also have more options when it comes to nonprescription weight loss pills. For instance, if you are seeking something with a stimulant, you can find pills that contain caffeine, or if you would like to avoid stimulants, you can find products that are free of them. It is up to you to choose if you want a weight management aid that can help you curb your appetite, burn fat, boost energy, block fat, and so on.

Read This Before You Buy Adipex

The bottom line is that for some people, while taking Phentermine is the best solution for helping them to achieve healthy weight loss, it is not an appropriate obesity treatment for everyone. This is why we recommend you read this before you buy Adipex to help ensure that you are making the right choice for you.

I took phentermine for 6 months 2 years ago. It was the best weight loss medication I have tried! period. I lost 67 lbs during that six months, only problem was that as soon as I got off the pills I started eating the way I used to because I thought “well I am thin now so I can eat that”. I have since almost gained back all the weight. I am going to go to my doctor and get it again though and I swear I am going to keep it off this time!

This medication did work in not making me hungry but I was extremely headachy and jittery that I stopped taking it. The weight is slowly coming back on so I am a bit degected at this point.

This is the best of the prescription diet pills. Phentermine is the best because it’s effective, but it’s a lot cheaper than Adipex. I appreciate that because I don’t have a drug plan.
