Skinny Fiber is an over the counter weight management pill. It comes from Skinny Body Care and is a fiber supplement that supposedly lowers a person’s appetite by making them feel full, which reduces hunger and appetite. It is also supposed to boost your metabolism and suppress the formation of fat.

Skinny Fiber works by expanding in your stomach. It is recommended that users take two capsules with water, 30 minutes before eating a big meal. The natural soluble dietary fiber, glucomannan, contained in the formula, activates with water and will expand in the stomach to create a feeling of fullness, so you will be more inclined to eat less. It is important to take the pills a half hour prior to eating and drink at least 8 ounces of water to give the fiber enough time to expand.

In addition to glucomannan, the other key ingredients in Skinny Fiber that are listed on the manufacturer’s official site include: caralluma and cha de bugre. Carallum is believed to be a natural appetite suppressant, while cha de bugre is also supposed to help with hunger control.

Skinny Fiber can be purchased online and some distributors offer a money-back guarantee. Glucomannan can swell in the stomach and lead to a feeling of fullness when used as directed.

There is no clinical proof that taking Skinny Fiber will help a person lose or manage their weight. Furthermore, the information provided on the official Skinny Body Care website is severely lacking. Although the ingredients have been mentioned, very few details have been provided and at the time this review was written, no studies were mentioned or cited to back up any claims that were made about the product or its ingredients. Furthermore, none of the ingredients used in the product have been sufficiently studied to determine what weight loss benefits, if any, they provide humans.

Cha de bugre is a stimulant. Those who are sensitive to stimulants may experience certain side effects including insomnia, stomach upset and mood changes.

In addition, although this product is said to be available for order from the Skinny Body Care website, when this review was written, clicking the “order skinny fiber now” button takes you to a page that asks you to provide the distributor who referred you. Based on the website, it appears that the makers of the product care more about making money than helping people manage their weight.

It is a good idea to first speak with your medical practitioner before taking Skinny Fiber.
